Junior Super Elites (A) and Midgets/Junior Elites (B)

This years tryouts will combine the Midgets/Junior Elite and the Junior Super Elites. The Midgets and the Junior Elite team is a half-season of Midgets playing in the Metropolitan Boston Hockey League combined with a full season in the International Junior Hockey League. There is also a full schedule of Prep School games sprinkled into the season's schedule. The Junior Super Elites team will play a full schedule in the International Junior Hockey League along with a full Prep School schedule.

Interstate Junior Hockey Elite League consists of the following associations:
Stanstead College, New York Black Knights, New Jersey Kings, Worcester Wildcats, Maine Moose, Exeter Freeze, Boston Junior Blackhawks, Mass Mariners, and Springfield Junior Pics

Junior Pics Super Elite (A)
2007-2008 IJHL regular season winners and playoff champions. Independent schedule.

Junior Pics Elite (B)
2007-2008 IJHL playoff contenders. Independent schedule.

All tryouts unless otherwise noted, will be conducted at the Fitzpatrick Skating Rink conveniently located at the end of I-391 and Maple Streets in Holyoke, MA.

Congratulations on your decision to try-out for a position on one of our 2008 - 2009 Springfield Junior Pics Hockey clubs.

Tryouts are conducted each spring in an effort to select the best possible players for our teams. It is our belief that in the spring players are in their top hockey condition and accordingly, will display their highest quality of skills and individual hockey ability at each try-out session.

Accordingly, all candidates should be prepared to bring their best efforts to these try-outs. All try-out candidates are observed by our selection committee and are graded and evaluated on their skills and as to how each player fits into the game plan for each team.

For the Players and Parents, these tryouts offer a platform for you to evaluate your child’s development in this sport. Our philosophy is that each position on each team is open and the best available players will be offered an invitation to join the teams if chosen by our selection committee.

TO ALL PLAYERS AND PARENTS
Parents will be notified within one week of the final tryout. If selected, you will have a meeting with the organization representatives following notification.

Team registration fee is payable at the team meeting and is non-refundable. Game/practice jerseys, sweat suit, mock turtles & socks will be sized at your team meeting.
