Junior CHA (B) and Junior IJHL Elite (B)

This years tryouts will combine the Junior CHA and Junior IJHL Elite teams. The CHA Junior and the IJHL Elite teams are both full season teams with independent games sprinkled into the season's schedule.

Continental Hockey Association consists of the following associations:
Metro Fighting Moose, Springfield Junior Pics, Mass Maple Leafs, New York Apple Core, Frederick Freeze, Pittsburgh Junior Penguins, Philadelphia Junior Blazers, Virginia Express, New Hampshire Junior Monarchs, Jersey Wildcats

International Junior Hockey League consists of the following associations:
Worcester Junior Wildcats, New England Stars, Maine Moose, Springfield Junior Pics, Boston Junior Blackhawks

2008 - 2009 CHA regular season runner-up. 2007-2008 IJHL regular season winners and playoff champions. Independent schedule. USA Hockey bound.

Junior Pics Elite (IJHL)
2008 - 2009 IJHL Playoff champions. 2007-2008 IJHL playoff contenders. Independent schedule. National bound.

All tryouts unless otherwise noted, will be conducted at the Fitzpatrick Skating Rink conveniently located at the end of I-391 and Maple Streets in Holyoke, MA.

Congratulations on your decision to try-out for a position on one of our 2009 - 2010 Springfield Junior Pics Hockey clubs.

Tryouts are conducted each spring in an effort to select the best possible players for our teams. It is our belief that in the spring players are in their top hockey condition and accordingly, will display their highest quality of skills and individual hockey ability at each try-out session.

Accordingly, all candidates should be prepared to bring their best efforts to these try-outs. All try-out candidates are observed by our selection committee and are graded and evaluated on their skills and as to how each player fits into the game plan for each team.

For the Players and Parents, these tryouts offer a platform for you to evaluate your players development in this sport. Our philosophy is that each position on each team is open and the best available players will be offered an invitation to join the teams if chosen by our selection committee.

TO ALL PLAYERS AND PARENTS
Parents will be notified within one week of the final tryout. If selected, you will have a meeting with the organization representatives following notification.

Team registration fee is payable at the team meeting and is non-refundable. Game/practice jerseys, sweat suit, mock turtles & socks will be sized at your team meeting.
