Junior Pics to Play at
Euro-USA Goodwill Games

There will be 4 players from
the Springfield Junior Pics who will be traveling to
Europe to play hockey with the Golden Eagles Hockey
Club. Geoff Flemati and
Tim Pageau will be going from the Junior A Super Elite
team. Also going who will be playing
a high school girls team will be Alyssa
Flemati and
Sara Wilczynski.
The Golden Eagles Hockey Club
has been doing this for 30 years under the direction
of Richard Feilding. It is a group
that gathers players from all over the United States.
Last year they had players from MA, CT, RI, PA, ME,
NY and Chicago, IL.
Alyssa Flemati attended last
year and it was a great experience for her.
This year the teams will be
leaving on April 17th and will return late on April
26th. They will be traveling to Zurich, Switzerland;
Charmonix, France; and Milan, Verona Venice and Lake
Garda, Italy. Also on the way home they will be staying
overnight in Dublin, Ireland. The kids will be playing
4 hockey games. 1 in France, 1 in Switzerland and 2
in Italy.
This is an awesome experience
of playing international hockey abroad and worldwide
sightseeing. The cost is just over $2550.00 per player.
The Golden Eagles will be
selling raffle tickets and any tickets that are sold
through the organization will be divided among the
4 players that will be going from the Springfield Junior
Pics. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.
