Chapman Joins Junior "A" PIC's Coaching Staff
17-year professional hockey player
will assist coaching staff for the
2005-2006 season.		  
   

The Springfield Junior Pics Hockey organization has announced the addition of professional hockey player Brian Chapman to the Junior "A" coaching staff for the 2005 - 2006 hockey season. With the addition of Chapman and the likes of Rob Bonneau and Brian Collins who have coached the team for the past two seasons, the Junior team is moving closer to becoming a championship team.

Brian Chapman’s Professional Career Highlights:

Acquired: Signed as a free agent by the Falcons on October 18, 2004

Drafted: Hartford Whalers’ 3rd choice (4th round, 74th overall) in 1986 NHL Entry Draft

2004-05 Season: In his 17th professional season, 9th in the AHL and 1st with Falcons

Career Notes – 2003-04: Advanced to AHL Western Conference Finals with Rochester…. Ranked 2nd on Americans in plus/minus (+9). 2002-03: Played sixth and final season with Manitoba…. Ranks 2nd on Moose’s all-time list in games played (447), 3rd in assists (135), 6th in points (158) and 3rd in PIM (725)…. Served as team captain during final four seasons with Moose. 2001-02: Led Manitoba defensemen and ranked 3rd on team overall in assists (30). 2000-01: Named IHL Man of the Year…. Led Manitoba in plus/minus (+17). 1999-00: Ranked 2nd among Manitoba defensemen and 4th on team overall in assists (30). 1998-99: Issued 6th-most PIM (127) on Moose. 1997-98: Led Moose in plus/minus (+17)….
